Jumping January
January was such an amazing month for me that I completely forgot to let you know about it. The main event for me, was starting a new job back in QLD. It was really exciting getting back to QLD and working in Rockhampton again. Central QLD was where I began my teaching career so it felt a bit like coming full circle. We also had a really wonderful friend staying with us for a few days at the beginning of January which involved lots of laughing and great food and wine. Perhaps, though, the most mainest event, even mainer than starting a new job, was celebrating my son’s 18th birthday! There were lots of great events and fantastic memories. We were at a bar on the stroke of midnight so he could have his first legal alcoholic drink and then we went out to a wonderful steak restaurant on the evening of his big day. Some momentous things in January with indications of more to come!
